Intermediate crimped wire mesh

Intermediate crimped wire mesh

Intermediate crimped wire mesh is also known as multiple crimp wire mesh. The warp and weft are pre-crimped before weaving. This pre-crimped weaving provides excellent rigidity and higher stability. Both warp and weft cross at every crimp of an odd number (three, five, seven, etc.), that is, there is an extra crimp or corrugation in the middle of the intersection.

The intermediate crimped wire mesh allows various sizes of square or rectangular openings. This weaving method is usually required when weaving large openings with fine metal wires. The larger the size of the opening, the greater the number of crimps.

Features of Intermediate crimped wire mesh

  • Allow large openings
  • Crimping makes the warp and weft firmly locked
  • Abrasion resistance and higher stability
